For more than 40 years, the Friends of the Louis Bay 2nd Library and Community Center have supported the Hawthorne library. The Mission of the Friends of the Louis Bay 2nd Library is to stimulate awareness of the library as an informational, community and cultural center for people of all ages in our community; to focus public attention on the library, its facilities, services, resources and activities; to encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library, as well as to aid and support the library's development with financial contributions.
